Job Title: Senior Looker Developer

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Looker Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Looker development, along with expertise in PowerBI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL, and at least 8 years of experience in data analytics and visualization.

Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, dashboards, and reports in Looker to deliver actionable insights and analytical solutions.

– Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations and analytics using Looker.

– Utilize SQL and other query languages to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources within GCP.

– Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

– Integrate Looker with other tools and platforms, including PowerBI, for comprehensive data visualization and analysis.

– Work on performance tuning and optimization of Looker reports, exploring ways to enhance efficiency and scalability.

– Provide technical expertise and guidance on Looker best practices, data modeling, and architecture.

– Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Looker, PowerBI, GCP, and SQL technologies.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

– Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on Looker development and data visualization.

– Strong proficiency in Looker, including LookML, Looker API, and building complex dashboards and reports.

– Extensive knowledge and experience with PowerBI for data visualization and analysis.

– Proficiency in SQL and database management for extracting, transforming, and manipulating data.

– Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

– Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

– Looker or GCP certifications would be a plus
